Frequently asked questions

Does Manual Trace upload my source image or project to an application server?

No. Source files and project state are processed in the browser. Persistent projects are created only when you explicitly download an Engrove trace project file.

Can the exported geometry be used directly for manufacturing?

Not without independent verification. The output records traced geometric intent, but source projection, scale, datum placement, approximation error and manufacturing tolerances must be validated separately.

Which SVG elements can Auto Trace detect?

The detector handles path, polygon, polyline, rect, circle, ellipse and line geometry after removing active and unsupported content. Text, use elements, external styles and raster images are not reconstructed.

Can I continue a tracing session later?

Yes. Save an .engrove-trace project package and reopen it later. The package preserves the workspace, geometry, source data, trace associations and relevant settings.
